No, no, no.
How many things are wrong with this picture?
The rhinoceros is a magnificent and amazing animal just the way God made it. And this one is a cute li’l rhino too. Look at it. D’awww.
The unicorn, on the other hand, is a fantasy horse that doesn’t exist. Somebody said, “Wouldn’t it be cool if a horse had a horn?” and drew a picture, and that was that. There’s no such thing.
So this poor rhino is beating itself up, working itself into a frenzy. trying to attain an ideal that’s completely impossible, a nothing, a fantasy, even though it’s already cute and amazing— but that’s somehow a good thing because you should “follow your dreams.”
That’s not a dream. Unless by “dream” you mean “something that makes you feel bad about yourself.” Nobody can become a fantasy horse, because they don’t even freaking exist. It’s impossible.
If you get caught up in comparing yourself to something that isn’t real, you’ll miss how special you already are.
How about this instead: Always follow your dreams, as long as they involve you being yourself. Because you’re already unique and wonderful and special. Even if you’re not a nonexistent fantasy horse.
